Location: Penn Treaty Park, Philadelphia, PA
Haul: 491 lbs.
United By Blue and a crew of more than 30 volunteers gathered in Fishtown's bustling Penn Treaty Park to comb the Delaware River bank for trash, treasures and the promise of delicious ice cream for a hard evening's work. Among the weird trash found: an animal skull, a chain link fence, plastic baby toys and a harmonica. Little Baby's Ice Cream generously donated a tub of refreshingly sweet ice cream treats to help beat the 90-degree heat!
