Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Haul: 71 lbs

ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN and Belk are companies woven with environmental passion and honored Earth Day with a beach cleanup in Myrtle Beach. Over 50 volunteers pitched in to remove 71 pounds of trash.

That may sound like a small number, but that's a lot of trash for a beach that is constantly cleaned.  The weirdest pieces of trash found on Saturday included a small pair of metal tongs and a Sesame Street sand toy. The press stayed just as busy as our hardworking volunteers. Click to view coverage from SCNOWMyrtle Beach Online(before) and (after) and fashion blogger, Heartsleeves.
