16,230 lbs.

Over 100 volunteers joined United by Blue for our last cleanup of the 2014 season. We worked along the Trinity River and wetlands for over three hours, hauling motoboats, a couch, over 50 truck tires and tons (literally) of scattered trash and debris. The final trash weight total: an astonishing 16,230 pounds! After the cleanup, the Cabot Creamery Cooperative and it's Farmers' Gratitude Grille fed cleanup volunteers a delicious lunch. We are proud to celebrate over 200,000 lbs. of trash removed from waterways and oceans to date!

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event possible, including:Cabot Creamery Cooperative, Subaru of America, Inc., the City of Dallas/Trinity River Corridor Project, and Moore Disposal.
