Winooski river

507 lbs.

Outdoor Gear Exchange partnered with United By Blue for a cleanup along the Winooski River at the Ethan Allen Homestead. Much of the trash was discovered along the fishing posts, where fisherman and visitors abandoned their hooks, lines and lunch supplies. A team of eight volunteers pulled a massive "container" a quarter mile from the river bank to the tent: a car tire, dirt filled kyak and 200+ lb. axel that were roped together. Among the strangest items discovered: damaged plastic canoe, tractor trailer axel, childs' truck toy, and a few mismatched shoes.
