Location:Conococheague Creek, Greencastle, PA
Along a beautiful creek in south-central PA, 15 volunteers gathered for what would be in the top three United by Blue hauls to date: over 22,000 lbs. in just three short hours! This part of the Conococheague Creek runs through private property, which has been the unfortunate dumping site of over 300 tires and countless televisions (really, there were an alarming number) over the past ten years. With the help of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, the local land owners' friends, and our outstanding volunteers, United by Blue was able to clean up much of the creek, which feeds into the Potomac River.
