Our Mission

For every product sold, United By Blue removes one pound of trash from our world's oceans and waterways.

We created this company because we wanted to make a bigger, more measurable impact on our oceans and encourage people to do the same. So we stopped simply writing checks and started organizing and hosting these cleanups. We wanted to do our part to clean the waterways ourselves.

That’s also why we take the care to create products that use responsible materials (like recycled polyester, which reuses plastic bottles so they won’t wind up in gyres). If you’d like to help, we’d love to see you at our next cleanup.

When: Sunday, July 13th / 10am -5:00pm

Where: High Rocks State Park.  150 Tory Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947.  Find UBB blue flags!

Open to all skill levels. No experience necessary. All equipment supplied.

Overview: Here at United By Blue we simply love the outdoors. We believe that passion and instinct for protecting our natural world comes from spending time and developing a relationship with nature. To further build a culture which respects and protects what we appreciate so much, we have partnered with an exceptional Philadelphia-based Wilderness guiding company, Valley to Summit, to create adventure trips for the Philadelphia/tri-state area to provide our community an experience to better understand why we do what we do.

Trip Description:

The "High Rocks" section of the park features an outstanding view of a horseshoe bend in Tohickon Creek and the surrounding forest. Here we explore a day of expert instruction in Rock climbing, rappelling and a Leave No Trace workshop. Ride with us (choose 'trip w/ transportation' at checkout) or congregate there at 10am to meet your lead AMGA certified guide and co-guides, get fitted for gear (harness, shoes and helmet) and learn the basics before heading out on a short ten minute hike to the climbing area.

Once at the wall, climbers will be instructed in more of the basics of knot-tying, belay device mechanics, climbing commands and safety. For the next couple hours, climbers enjoy conquering walls, views from the top and team-building encouragement. When you are sufficiently stoked and one with the rock, break for lunch (BYO picnic) and learn about what we do at UBB and the Leave No Trace principles that benefit our goals and vision for a clean natural world. Finally, your guides will gear you back up for some exhilarating rappels overlooking the Tohickon Creek. Finish your day at 5 PM with a short ride home and great stories and pictures to share.

What to Bring:

  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Lunch and snacks (enough for 7 hrs)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Hat
  • Rain jacket or full poncho
  • Personal Medication

Reservations are required. Limited to 12 seats!

This online purchase reserves your spot on the trip.  You will be sent a Waiver & Health form by email to be completed before the trip date. Y ou will not be sent a ticket.  When you arrive to the park you will check in with the event staff.
