Location: City of Cuernavaca Park, Denver, CO
Haul: 309 lbs.
We visited the perpetually beautiful city of Denver on Saturday for a cleanup of the S. Platte River, a vital water source for many Denver residents. A group of dedicated volunteers worked throughout the morning to clean hundreds of pounds of trash from the river and Cuernavaca Park. Plastic, styrofoam and lots of clothing were recovered, along with a number of weird trash finds. Some submissions included a full outfit of clothing, a notebook filled with writing, the Bible and a water noodle.
Special thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, REI , Denver Parks and Recreation , The Greenway Foundation , Denver Beer Co and Klean Kanteen for their support!
