Why it matters
For every product we sell, United By Blue removes one pound of trash from oceans and waterways. Cleanups like this one are where that promise happens in person. The Indian River Lagoon is home to hundreds of species of fish and birds, along with dolphins and manatees, and trash left on its shoreline and islands doesn't stay put — it moves with the tide and the wind. A few hours with a good crew keeps it out of the water for good.
