“THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! I gave a pair to my husband as an early stocking stuffer as the temps dropped into the 20's and dumped 8" of snow here in the Pacific Northwest this last week-end. He absolutely LOVED them!!! Of course I had ordered myself a pair as well. I must say that they are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. Plenty of padding and the warmth factor is out of the ball park. We will be ordering another pair after the holidays. PS....customer service reps are the friendliest folks ever! I purchased a pair of these as a gift. The fabric seems pretty stiff and itchy. Is this an issue with these socks? Do they soften after use/washing?
Hi Jessie! These socks are made with 62% wool, so you may experience some itchiness if your skin is sensitive to wool. They're a thick sock but they should feel soft rather than stiff! What do they smell like! They’re not wool in the traditional sense, or are they? I love the idea and don’t mind how wool smells, just wondering :))
Hi Freddi! These socks don't have much of an aroma to them, but if anything they should smell like wool since they are 62% wool. Hope this helps!
Excluding the lodge sock which bison regular sock is the longest?
Excluding the Lodge Sock, all of the other socks in our Ultimate Bison Sock line are the same height, and hit around mid-calf!
Does Ultimate Bison sock come in XL?
These socks are just available in Small and Large at this time - the Large fits up to a women's 12 or a men's 13!
What is the difference between the Ultimate Bison Sock, Grasslands Ultimate Bison Sock, and the Alpine Ultimate Bison Sock?
Hi Abby, thanks so much for reaching out about this! All three socks are made from the same blend of bison down and merino wool, so the main difference between them is the design. The Grasslands and Alpine socks are also a little taller than the Ultimate Bison Sock!
