“I grabbed two packs of these for my annual holiday 'ladies party' and after appetizers passed the straws around to each lady. I challenged them all to tackle the new year as a better, straw-free version of themselves! It was a big hit and we discussed a few different ideas about how we could be better about removing 1x use plastic products from our lives. After all agreeing to tackle the 30-day plastic FREE challenge, we learned a lot about how often these useless products insert themselves into our lives. It was really one of the coolest gifts I've ever given. I keep the straw in my purse and I'm always excited to use it. Additionally, it's a reminder to make better choices and reduce my footprint when it comes to waste and consumption.”

Beautiful, but tarnish easily
"I wanted to love these straws so, so badly! I even bought two sets. The straws tarnish easily and develop a rust-like coating on the inside that you can taste with acidic drinks. I had one set that I mistakenly put in the dishwasher because I hadn't read the instructions properly. I figured, that was just my fault. I bought a second set because I loved the design so much, and this time I was careful to only hand-wash them, and somehow the same happened to me. I'm not sure how to clean them properly (they seem to require different care from stainless steel straws) and I'm not even sure if they are food-safe anymore as copper utensils with their finishing damaged can give you copper poisoning. I still have 2 straws left in the set that are unused but at this point I'm not even sure if it is worth the risk of ruining them again. It's really a shame because I love the way they look, but I think I will stick to a stainless steel material from now on as they are more durable."
