My Kindle and phone fit in the smaller pocket, and the main will fit a tablet (not a full laptop, unless it's small-ish) and your rain jacket, as well as snacks and day needs! The pockets on the side aren't big enough for a Nalgene, but they sure will do for two smaller water bottles or one and your glasses/misc quick reaches. VERY happy with it and I can't wait to wear it out”
