This Earth Month we supported Heal the Bay's cleanup on Santa Monica Beach. Over 1,800 volunteers spent their Saturday morning giving back and helping to make the beach a cleaner place.
Together, we were able to remove 270 pounds of marine debris which often comes from our storm drains and ends up in the ocean. Volunteers learned about the effects of marine debris on the Southern California ecosystem and what they can do to lessen their impact.
