Last Friday, over 63 volunteers joined together on a HOT (we are talking 96 degree) sunny day on the South Platte River in Denver, CO. While temperatures were high, spirits were even higher! Thank you to everyone who braved the heat - we were able to remove over 330 pounds of trash with about 100 pounds of that being made up of recyclables!
This work is more critical now than ever before. The Denver Parks and Rec recently faced a 250 million dollar budget cut and mass layoffs were put into affect on Monday. The work of volunteers to take care of public places is vital!Â
