color is more caramel than pictured
"The stoneware was not quite as yellow as pictured, more of a caramel color. Also, one of the plates was cracked, too much of a bother to send pack so I just ate the cost. Lastly, the stoneware has a bit of grittiness and the bowl scratched my soapstone counter!"

Really pretty, nice heavy weight, not scratch resistant
"If you're looking for a substantial plate to put into your dinnerware rotation, this is a great piece. If you're looking for a statement piece to display or leave in place settings on the table, be aware that it is not scratch resistant. After a couple of meals with a knife/fork, the plate (and matching bowl) have scratches."
