“I love these shorts! They're the second thing I ordered from UBB, and so far, we're two for two. I got them in turquoise and the color combo is lovely. They're really well-made; I especially like the closure in the front. I know some people mentioned that there was gapping at the waist, but I did not experience this. They sit below my belly button but above my hips, and they fit perfectly. And I do have a waist, so I was worried that they might be awkward. They are not. The length is also great. They take me back to the late 90s when I was rocking board shorts even though I had never been on a surfboard in my life.”

Updated fit
"Compared to the previous iteration of these shorts, these are -softer and stretchier -higher rise -a more fitted shape My only complaint with these updates is that the waist is quite fitted, which forces the semi-structured high rise waist to land at a specific spot. I was considering sizing down to XS because the previous years’ shorts were rather loose all over. I’m glad I didn’t as small is now the correct fit. I would still prefer more give in the waist but would not size up as I have plenty of room in the hips/legs - and I usually have the opposite problem with hip/waist ratio in bottoms as I have an athletic build."

A great find
"I have a hard time with shorts, especially ones made out of tech fabrics. They're usually cut for people with no hips or bum and they're rarely high rise. These shorts were such a pleasant surprise! The rise is perfect- cinches right at the narrowest part of my waist. They fully fit my butt while not being too long. They are not frumpy at all and I love the colors. I will be getting more! Please make them in more neutral colors :)."
