My Kindle and phone fit in the smaller pocket, and the main will fit a tablet (not a full laptop, unless it's small-ish) and your rain jacket, as well as snacks and day needs! The pockets on the side aren't big enough for a Nalgene, but they sure will do for two smaller water bottles or one and your glasses/misc quick reaches. VERY happy with it and I can't wait to wear it out”

"This is one of the most comfortable backpacks I’ve ever used. The compartments are pretty big. I fit my MacBook 14” along with a few notebooks and a dlsr camera and there was still room for a bit more. My only tiny issue is that a small part of the front pocket (the one with the hook) is mesh, so if it rains, water may soak through easily. Other than that, but backpack I’ve ever used."
